Local employee relations consultancy, Okana Limited based in Christchurch is expanding its team with two new appointments.

Nathan Andrews, Managing Director at Okana Limited is delighted to share the appointment of John Stembridge-King and Deborah West, who have both joined the business as Consultant Employee Relations Specialists.

John Stembridge-King who is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, brings to the business 30 years’ experience as a senior HR and employee relations manager with significant experience in industrial relations within the aviation sector.

Deborah West brings to the team a wealth of experience as a former employment lawyer with more than 20 years under her belt, working in partnership with HR professionals and senior management teams on everything from change management to complex employee relations issues. During those 20 years, Deborah supported a diverse range of employers, from multi-national corporates to schools and charities.

Nathan, along with Deborah and John make up the firms Client Delivery Team.  Nathan leads the team in his role as Managing Director but also heads up the firm’s specialist investigation, mediation, and conflict resolution services.  John, drawing on his extensive trade union experience, leads the employee and industrial relations consultancy service, with Deborah heading up change and exit programmes.

As Employee Relations Specialists, the team at Okana support Company Directors, Business Owners and HR teams through practical employee relations advice and blended HR services, including employee relations support, investigations, mediation, and conflict resolution.
