Local Investment Manager celebrates raising funds for Forest Holme Hospice!

O-IM has raised £3,9790.36 for Forest Holme, the Poole-based hospice that provides palliative and end-of life-care and support to local people with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s, heart disease and respiratory illness. The firm held and participated in a series of events throughout the year including a recent charity quiz held at AFC Bournemouth to raise funds for the hospice.

The charity quiz was a huge success, with teams from local businesses and organisations participating in a fun-filled evening. The event raised £1,858.72 for the hospice, which will help ensure that everyone in our community affected by life-limiting illness or bereavement gets the care and support they need, either at home or in its dedicated hospice facility.

In addition to the quiz, Chief Investment Officer Matthew Hull took to the dancefloor in Forest Holme’s strictly extravaganza competition, as well as abseiling down Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower with Business & Marketing Manager Katie Land, all to help raise funds for such a wonderful cause. The full team have also taken part in volunteering days, assisting with gardening, cleaning windows, building shelves, and putting up the Hospice Christmas decorations!

Commenting on the success of the fundraising campaigns, Katie Land, Business & Marketing Manager at O-IM said, “We are delighted to have raised so much money for Forest Holme. We are particularly passionate about supporting the local area and the hospice provides an invaluable service within our local community. We would like to thank all those who have participated in our events and have donated so generously”.

Kirsty Perks, Corporate Fundraiser at Forest Holme added, “We are very grateful to O-IM for their ongoing support and generosity. The funds raised will help make a difference to the palliative and end of life care provided to patients and their families in the local area. We rely on the support of our local community, and we are so pleased to have O-IM on our side.”

O-IM plans to continue their support of the hospice through ongoing fundraising activities and is already planning events for the coming year.
