Make the switch to sustainable workwear
Posted on: 08/12/2021

Following the latest news surrounding COP26, we have seen many businesses renew their sense of urgency to reduce their impact on the environment. Workwear Pro Direct have been helping their clients with this mission since 2019. Our BuyBack recycling scheme rewards clients for giving us their used workwear so we can recycle and repurpose the material to reduce landfill.
Our latest initiative has been created to make it even easier for our clients to reduce their environmental impact. Workwear Pro Direct provide FREE ‘Eco-Workwear-Audits’ evaluating all the workwear their clients currently use throughout their organisation and sourcing alternative garments that are sustainable – using recycled or recyclable materials.
Workwear Pro Direct are working closely with several innovative manufacturers to introduce eco-friendly garments to the mainstream in what has been a very traditional marketplace. Manufacturers are moving away from some practices that were deemed sustainable only 5 years ago, towards more organic sources for fabric. For example, fleeces made from recycled plastic bottles have been found to create micro-plastics during the laundering process, so these are now being swapped out for cotton or bamboo-based materials.
Contact us now to arrange an Eco Workwear Audit for free and help us further reduce your business’s impact on the environment. We will then reward you for returning all your old and damaged workwear as part of our BuyBack initiative by gifting you with £30 for every 100kg of workwear returned!
