Marketing Expert Appointed To Wimborne BID Board of Directors

Wimborne BID (Business Improvement District) has welcomed marketing expert Cat Gold onto its board of directors. The BID board is made up of six levy-paying local business owners along with two co-opted members, all who voluntarily offer their skills and expertise.

Thirty-one-year-old Cat brings to Wimborne BID an impressive portfolio of marketing and brand-building knowledge. Her career started as the first apprentice at Poole-based marketing experts Intergage. She is now part of the senior leadership team at Bournemouth-based Uprated – a leading digital marketing and web design agency.

As Client Services Manager, Cat brings a wealth of knowledge in working with businesses across a host of sectors – national brands, charities, B2B and financial industries to name but a few.
Cat commented: “Wimborne has such a great mix of businesses – multi-million pound, homegrown, family and sole traders. It’s so important to protect this wonderful variety we’re so lucky to have in this town and help encourage even more to set up home here.
I’m keen to use my skills to focus on continuing to enhance footfall and support strategic growth in Wimborne, especially as it becomes Town of Culture in 2026.”

She added: “As a teenager I used to come to Wimborne at weekends to shop and meet friends. I also worked in Waitrose whilst at school. I’m passionate about finding innovative ways to make younger people feel more engaged with the town. It’s vital that they feel part of this community.”

Fiona Harwood, Chair of Wimborne BID said: “The board is thrilled to welcome Cat. Her enthusiasm for the town is heartwarming and to have access to her extensive knowledge is such a bonus.”
