Marsham Court Hotel has been named the winner of the Accessible Travel Initiative – Accommodation Award at Selling Travel magazine’s inaugural Travel For Any Body Awards, celebrating organisations driving meaningful change in inclusive travel.
Judges commended the Bournemouth-based, family-run hotel for its strong community engagement, ethical approach, and genuine integration of accessibility into every part of the guest experience.
Judges noted that 14% of Marsham Court’s staff have lived experience of a disability or neurodiversity, an approach that the panel said “helps the hotel to meet guests’ needs with authenticity and understanding.” They also highlighted Marsham Court’s prominent accessibility content on its homepage, including real images of facilities such as its pool hoist and sensory room, offering transparency that is still rare in the accommodation sector.
“We are incredibly proud to receive this award,” said Rosie Radwell, Managing Director and Owner at the Marsham Court Hotel. “Accessibility isn’t an add-on for us — it’s embedded in our culture and operations. From design to recruitment to guest communication, inclusion guides every decision we make. We’re thrilled that our team’s commitment has been recognised at a National level.”
The Travel For Any Body Awards were established by Selling Travel to recognise travel providers and destinations that demonstrate leadership and innovation in accessible tourism. The initiative reflects growing industry focus on inclusive practices — from product design to marketing transparency — and highlights the role of authentic representation in shaping traveller confidence.
Marsham Court Hotel has long been recognised as a pioneer in the accessible accommodation space, with facilities including step-free access throughout much of the property, adapted guest bedrooms, accessible parking, and sensory-friendly environments. The hotel also actively collaborates with local disability organisations and accessibility consultants to continuously improve its offering.
“This award affirms our belief that accessibility benefits everyone — guests, staff, and the wider community,” added Rosie. “We hope our work encourages others in the hospitality industry to prioritise accessibility not just as compliance, but as part of an inclusive business ethos.”
