Milestone Reached at Brewers Quay Development as Mayor of Weymouth Officially Opens Sales Suite

More than 40 people attended the official opening of the sales suite at the Brewers Quay development in Weymouth on Wednesday, September 17.

Among the guests were the Mayor, Cllr Caroline Nickinson, MP Lloyd Hatton, representatives from Dorset Council, local businesses, the Weymouth museum trust, individuals from the construction team and local residents.

The conversion of the iconic brewery building into 49 apartments, three retail units and a home for the Weymouth museum is underway, with the opening of the sales suite giving prospective buyers a preview of the layouts and interiors.

Following a welcome by Jason Craig of Brewery (Weymouth) Ltd and the cutting of the ribbon by the Mayor, guests enjoyed refreshments along with tours of the mews houses, which form part of the first phase of the development, and are currently under construction.

Jason Craig said: “It was a real pleasure to officially open the doors to our brand new sales suite – an exciting milestone in the journey of this development and a reflection of the vision, dedication, and collaboration that brought it to life. It is clear from those who attended what an important building this is to the people of Weymouth.

“This isn’t just the launch of a building – it’s the beginning of a new community in a building that every local and visitor to the town knows. A place where people will build their futures, create memories, and enjoy the very best of modern living, right here in this iconic building in the heart of Weymouth.”

Alice Church of Savills says: “The redevelopment of this important building has been long anticipated and it is great to reach this milestone. The project has been so well received, with local people thrilled to see the development taking shape. Following the success of the first phase, we are looking forward to showing prospective buyers what they can expect from the converted apartments, which will combine the very best of modern living alongside this building’s rich heritage.”
