Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, is inviting businesses, sole traders, and organisations to an open day at its new venue, The Treehouse, based in Hurn.
Companies are invited to tour the facility and find out what the charity has planned for the new base to deliver its Short Breaks Services including Coping with CHAOS, Awesome Nights, STARs, Family Support, and Project.
Helen Mortimer, Head of Fundraising at Diverse Abilities, commented: “The invitation is open to companies of all sizes to this incredible new facility. We would love the local business community to help us with teams of volunteers to decorate ahead of opening, or maybe lend specific skills, trades, or supply materials. Alternatively, any fundraising or sponsorship of The Treehouse would be incredible.”
The site, which was previously home to part of the Adventure Wonderland theme park, will include a couple of acres of secure outdoor play space, as well as a large indoor play barn with soft play, sensory room, games rooms, space for parents, cookery space for children and much more.
Helen continued; “We are inviting individuals now, whilst refurbishment work is getting underway, for a behind the scenes tour. At this we can show what will be on offer for the almost 1,000 children who will be supported by this service, and explain the various ways businesses could get involved in helping make the vision a reality for them and their families.”
Companies are invited to drop in on Tuesday January 30 between 11am and 2pm for a tour from the charity’s team at The Treehouse, Merritown Lane, Hurn, BH23 6BA.
RSVPs should be made to fundraising@diverseabilities.org.uk or by calling 01202 718 266 and selecting option 5 for Fundraising by Friday January 26.
