Dorset tech company Talk Think Do celebrates 8 years of success

Wimborne-based Talk Think Do celebrates its 8-year anniversary this month, marking another successful milestone for the fast-growing Dorset tech company, specialising in bespoke cloud solutions.

The team has more than doubled in size in 2022, now with a 26-strong team of specialist engineers and plans to increase hires in 2023. The business continues to deliver quality work through its onshore team-based Dorset, with regular opportunities arising through new vacancies.

Talk Think Do has seen immense year-on-year revenue growth of over 750 percent, from £267,000 in 2018 to £2.3million in 2022. As it looks to the future, the company has set out a mission to create greater employment opportunity for tech & IT professionals, by combining class-leading innovation with an exceptional working culture.

Talk Think Do was founded by solution architect Matt Hammond in 2014, and exists to innovate, modify, and maintain advanced cloud-native applications that enable businesses to achieve their growth objectives. Over the past eight years, the team have worked with cross-sector brands including Explore Learning, Livestock Information, and The Third Space Group, and aims to continue to attract local talent to the area.

Spotting a gap in the market has allowed Matt and his team to grow what is on track to become a multi-million turnover business this year.

Matt commented: “Before I founded Talk Think Do, I worked with several large businesses to deliver architectural solutions. I struggled to find teams that had the technical know-how and skills to deliver the standard of product I required. That is where I identified a gap in the tech solutions market and where Talk Think Do was born from. Our team is our strongest asset, and we plan to put Dorset on the map as a leading hub for the technology industry.

“Eight years on, I am proud that we continue to make ongoing investments into our team’s engineering skills. This allows us to build the highest quality, unique software solutions to fit our client’s specific needs. This year, we are forecasted to hit £3.9million in revenue and that achievement in less than 10 years is thanks to the commitment and focus of the entire team.”

Talk Think Do became a Crown Commercial Service supplier in 2017, giving the team access to a portfolio of public sector work, including Livestock Information Limited, a subsidiary of the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). The firm also secured Microsoft Gold Partner status in 2020 having earned the highest standards of Microsoft’s widely recognized partnership program. The company also became ISO27001 & Cyber Essentials Plus accredited and a GitHub Technology Partner in 2022.

Last month, the team celebrated being awarded a place on the UK Government’s latest G-Cloud 13 framework, an online catalogue where public sector customers can buy cloud-based computing services such as hosting, software, and cloud support.

Matt explains, “While we are all incredibly proud of our success to date, we aren’t stopping there and have several plans and projects in the pipeline. We are on a trajectory and growth plan to scale our team to 75 employees, work towards £7.5million in revenue, and launch our new product CodeNative by 2025. CodeNative is a game-changing cloud-native technology which enables customers to effectively generate bespoke enterprise-level mission critical software, and we are looking forward to bringing it to market.”
