Leading regional law firm Paris Smith has been announced as a finalist for two prestigious awards this month.
The firm has been shortlisted in the Workplace Wellbeing category of the Modern Law Awards 2024 and has just been announced as a finalist for Leadership Team of the Year in the Solent SME Growth Awards.

Modern Law Awards 2024
The Workplace Wellbeing award recognises the law firm which can best demonstrate an innovative and proactive wellbeing strategy. This includes demonstration of a strong commitment to providing a positive working environment and culture, active leadership support and a holistic approach to wellbeing which has been well received within the firm.
Paris Smith is one of six finalists and its inclusion in the shortlist this year is a reflection of the significant progress the firm has made in prioritising the health, happiness and work-life balance at Paris Smith. This nomination builds on public recognition of the firm’s work in this crucial area – it was similarly shortlisted in the workplace mental health and wellbeing category in the 2019 Solent Business Awards.
The firm’s Wellbeing Committee runs regular yoga, pilates and walking groups to promote physical health and provides a variety of mental health resources along with training for mental health first aiders. Regular social events including games nights and art workshops are run throughout the year and the firm has also set up two support groups, one for Working Families and another known as ‘Menopause in Mind’. These groups are open to all, as is its mentorship scheme.
Solent SME Growth 100 Awards
The Leadership Team of the Year award celebrates and showcases leadership teams who champion their contribution to the community, prioritise the development and leadership capability of their people and strive for excellence in products or services to build a business with a strong inclusive culture and strategic direction. Finalists in all the award categories have been highlighted for their recent significant growth and the role they play in driving success within the Solent region.
The Solent SME Growth 100 Awards takes place at The Halo Lounge in Southampton on 28th February, with the 2024 Modern Law Awards taking place on 7th March at The Hurlingham Club in London.
