Pitmans Law outperforms UK firms in diversity rankings

Recent results from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) diversity survey and The Lawyer UK 200 have shown that Pitmans is outperforming other UK firms in terms of diversity, particularly in gender equality.

The Lawyer revealed that only a quarter of all partners in the UK’s top 200 law firms are female, while the SRA’s data from across England and Wales showed that 33% of all partners are women.

In comparison, 40% of Pitmans partnership is made up of women.

Pitmans results also showed that female representation in all other fee earner roles is 16% higher than other firms on average, with a majority of 63%.

John Hutchinson, Pitmans Law Managing Partner, said: “Pitmans is committed to attracting an expanding team of talented, trusted lawyers to deliver outstanding outcomes for our clients. We believe that diversity and gender equality are vital to foster the growth of our business because diversity breeds innovation.”

Pitmans results for age distribution and ethnicity are also in line with those found in the SRA survey.
