Poole’s 60 Sea Cadets and Volunteers are proud to support Armed Forces Day 2023 which is this year’s chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
Armed Forces Day takes place on the last Saturday each June (24th) and this year celebrations begin on Monday 19 June when the Armed Forces Day flag will be raised on buildings and famous landmarks around the country.
Poole Sea Cadets will proudly fly theirs above their headquarters in Sterte, Poole.
The Armed Forces Day provides a valued morale boost for the troops and their families whether they be from the Royal Navy, British Army or the Royal Air Force.
The day is also hugely relevant to Veterans, Reservists, Charities and their families.
Where Cadets are concerned the Sea Cadets, Army Cadets, Air Cadets and the Combined Cadet Force currently support over 130,000 young people in more than 3,000 locations across the UK.
Cadets nationwide learn life and career building skills as well as gaining vocational qualifications.
