Poole’s new Christmas Light Maritime Festival and City Cruises

With only 18 weeks left until Christmas I am delighted that Poole Council & Poole Bid have just announced they are lighting up the high street from The Dolphin Centre through the high street, through the old town and into The Quay. As well as thousands of spectacular illuminations with a Maritime theme, there will be fun fair rides and a Christmas Market to help attract more visitors to Poole in the festive season. The lights will run from the 19th November through to the 2nd January and will give a magical feel to Poole. It is great that Poole will have it’s own version of the highly successful Christmas Tree Wonderland in Bournemouth and will be based around the maritime heritage of Poole.
Here at City Cruises in Poole Quay we are backing this fantastic venture 100% and will also be lighting up our boats to add to the experience. We are aiding more festive cruises this year and as well as our popular Winter Harbour & Islands Cruises (served with mulled wine and a mince pie!) we will be doing half hour evening sailings from 5 – 8pm so people can see the stunning lights from the water. Set Sail with Santa will be back and our Christmas Party nights are looking to be a popular choice too.
