Positive business growth and recruitment at Spyrosoft

Local technology firm, Spyrosoft, which creates software for a variety of industries, has seen its revenue grow by three quarters during the coronavirus pandemic. Launched in Wroclaw, Poland in 2016 by former IT lead at Ordnance Survey, the positive results show that the company is one of the fastest-growing specialist technology businesses in Europe.

Its Managing Director, Andrew Radcliffe, co-founded the software engineering business in Wroclaw, Poland, in 2016, after leaving his job as Head of Development at Ordnance Survey, the government’s Southampton-based mapping agency. The business has its UK headquarters at Ferndown, Dorset.

He said the demand for technology innovation across Europe was showing no signs of slowing despite the pandemic.

Spyrosoft’s group revenue was up 74 per cent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2020.

He said: “I am delighted to report a period of stability for the Spyrosoft SA Group during quarter two of 2020 despite the negative global impact of coronavirus.

“This is mainly due to our diverse customer portfolio and minimal exposure to impacted industries.

“During the quarter Spyrosoft has seen an increased demand for our technology services resulting in new customer acquisitions and additional projects from the existing customer base.

“This has enabled us to invest in the further growth of our subsidiary companies across the world with the hire of 32 additional employees, bringing the total to 477 at the end of June 2020.

“Spyrosoft SA Group was able to achieve consolidated revenue in the period of 26million Polish Zloty (approximately £5.2m), a 74 per cent increase on the same period in 2019.

“I am optimistic for continued growth during the third and fourth quarters of this year leading into 2021.”

Mr Radcliffe said the UK business had continued to grow rapidly since the start of lockdown, hiring people in technical and business roles. The recruitment drive isn’t limited to Europe, however. The UK arm of Spyrosoft has plans to grow substantially over the coming yearThis will be a great boost to the local economy here in the Dorset/Hampshire region.
