Prama Nailcare came to Winton on Wednesday to help people look after their feet! A new nailcare clinic has started at The Salvation Army Hall in Latimer Road; Tanya and Clair from Prama welcomed people who found it difficult to keep their finger and toes nails at a healthy and comfortable length to a private room where they could have their nails cut and filed.
“Older people sometimes find it more difficult to look after their finger and toe nails but the NHS no longer offers this service in the BCP area,” said Tanya Hiddleston, Nailcare Manager at Prama. “Prama provides a nail cutting service in people’s homes, but we’ve now started a project to expand into the community, partnering with the Salvation Army to provide this much needed help. All our appointments were taken today, and we got some excellent feedback on how much the community needs this service, so we’ll be holding further clinics and looking at other venues for the future”.
One gentleman had been about to have a meal in the café at the Salvation Army, but when he found out about the clinic, he put his meal on hold to get his nails cut. One lady said, “What a nice experience, with such lovely staff!” My nails weren’t the prettiest, but they gave them lots of attention. I’ve booked my next appointment already!”
