Luxury property developer Shape Real Estate is ‘excited’ to announce it has pledged to donate a sum of money from the sale of each apartment at its Poole development, Crosstrees, to Dorset’s leading disability charity, Diverse Abilities.
Shape Real Estate has been working closely with Diverse Abilities throughout the build of Crosstrees. Last year Shape sponsored a golf hole at Parkstone Golf Course’s charity game to support Diverse Abilities. Shape also welcomed Diverse Abilities CEO Mark Powell to its third property launch in November 2017, to present to local councillors and business leaders in attendance about the charity’s latest project.

Shape Real Estate embarked on its first Dorset build in 2016 with the luxury development Crosstrees which boasts 36 apartments and is located amongst the hills of Canford Cliffs. On Saturday, March 24 Shape Real Estate will be celebrating Crosstrees’ completion and offering private tours of its final apartments during a launch event open to public from 11am until 3pm.
Shape Real Estate has now pledged to donate a sum of money from each sale of its Crosstrees apartments to Diverse Abilities, which will be used to support the extension of the Barnabas Day Centre.
Vikki Slade, Capital Appeals Manager at Diverse Abilities, said: “Our Barnabas Day Centre has traditionally provided daytime activities for around 50 adults ranging from crafts to gardening, music to cooking. However, as the nature of the disabilities we are seeing has become more profound, some of the adults we support cannot engage with what is available. We need to move towards a more therapy and sensory led approach, providing one-to-one programmes, as well as the popular group activities.
“We are grateful to Shape Real Estate for their support. By pledging a donation from the sale of each property, they will help fund a therapy extension to the centre. This space will be well away from the communal rooms and overlook the gardens so therapists can work one-to-one with the people we support and deliver specialist care and activities to some of the most vulnerable adults in our community.”
