Saffery Champness Accountants in Bournemouth join national CSR launch
National accountancy practice Saffery Champness officially launched their CSR initiative in a week that saw the Bournemouth team embrace the launch with a busy schedule of activities, including a cycling challenge.
Nick Fernyhough, Senior Partner advised, “We have 3 key CSR objectives which include; managing the company’s impact on the environment, creating a healthier workplace and supporting young people in the community. We are delighted with the enthusiasm and commitment that all our staff have shown, willing to get involved in such a diverse mix of challenges.”
The Bournemouth team kicked off the week with a visit to Monkey World on Monday 23rd to visit their newly adopted ‘Amy the Orangatun’ and to find out about the essential work that Monkey World undertake. The office then took time to visit ‘Employ My Ability’ at the Moreton Walled Garden to learn more about how this charity provides vital support for students with learning disabilities and special educational needs & disabilities. Office staff also took part in a static bike race with other Saffery offices in the UK, aiming to travel the furthest distance in the allocated time.
The Saffery team have committed to many other charitable and community initiatives over the coming months which include; organising a local beach litter pick, a team taking part in the gruelling 46km Diverse abilities Dorset Three Peak Trek, regular Bake- Off cake sales, monthly dress down days, signing up to the ‘Litter Free Coast and Sea Business Award’, organising regular food bank collections for Hope for Food and launching a printing initiative for local charities and non-profits.
