Posted on: 26/01/2018

The Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole welcomed the Salvation Army Choir to perform twice during December, enabling the choir to raise £1,525 from shoppers’ donations.

The charity choir performed on Saturday December 16, raising £1,348 and performed again on Thursday, December 21, raising £177.

Captain Janine Lewis of The Salvation Army’s Poole Corps, commented: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Dolphin Shopping Centre for inviting The Salvation Army Choir along twice to sing Christmas carols for shoppers. People were pleased to see us and donated generously.

“The money we raised will go towards helping the Salvation Army in its mission to serve the people and community of Poole.”

A total of five choirs entertained shoppers over the festive period, with performances from Yarrells School Choir, Waggy Tails Choir, Chestnut Nursery Choir, the Dorset Blind Association Choir and the Salvation Army Choir.

John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, commented: “We’re delighted the Salvation Army Choir performed twice at the shopping centre and it was fantastic to host such an array of musical talent over the festive period.”
