Santa Claus Comes to Town for Diverse Abilities

Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, hosted a spectacular Winter Wonderland evening with glistening snow and a light display this festive season for the charity’s staff and supporters.

On 22 December, one of the supported living properties, run by Diverse Abilities, invited supporters and colleagues to come along and enjoy warm mince pies, roasted chestnuts and a hot drink. They relished in the sound of classic Christmas songs with melodious choir ‘Bitter Sweet Harmony’, a local group of singers.

Everyone from carers to fundraisers attended the warm gathering and received a surprise from the main man himself – Santa Claus – and met him in a special grotto.

Julie Bateman, team leader at Diverse Abilities, said: “This was a great time for the adults supported by the charity to enjoy the magic of Christmas. Diverse Abilities’ staff and supporters brought along their families to kick off the most wonderful time of the year.”
