Scaleups in Dorset can be found in all sectors and all parts of the county. They range from high-profile consumer brands such as Lush, McCarthy & Stone and Osprey Europe to housebuilders such as Wyatt Homes and telecoms firms such as 4Com. However, they frequently encounter challenges in finding the right talent to strengthen their workforces, building their leadership capacity and accessing markets at home and overseas. They also need access to finance that is ‘patient’ and ‘smart’ and flexible infrastructure in which they can grow.
The ScaleUp Institute was established by the private sector with the practical mission to make the UK the best place in the world to not just start but also scale a business.
