Sculpture by the Lakes, Dorset’s internationally acclaimed sculpture park, has increased its private hire capacity with the installation of three outdoor pods. The new additions include 360-degree views over the botanic gardens, offering the perfect setting for meetings or workshops.
The Artist’s Corner can be found in a nook of the gardens and is an intimate space for four. The Hide, which can accommodate up to six guests, sits at the edge of The Artist’s Pool and provides both indoor and outdoor seating for groups. The Upper Deck sits on the top floor of Sculpture by the Lake’s existing venue, The Retreat, enabling guests to enjoy the elevated outlook over the River Frome throughout the seasons.
Simon Gudgeon, owner of Sculpture by the Lakes, said: “We’re always looking for new ways to elevate our guest experience. Our new pods sit in the most picturesque spots across the park and enable visitors to immerse themselves in and connect with nature in a whole new way. The outlook from each of our venues provides a stunning canvas for creative brainstorms or team meetings away from the office.
“We now have seven venues of varying capacity available for private gatherings and events. For business leaders looking for new ways to inspire their teams or treat their clients, our venues offer a unique destination for meetings or lunches. We pride ourselves on offering high-quality spaces and exceptional service to match and are looking forward to welcoming more teams to Sculpture by the Lakes.”
Dorset-based Pods and Pavilions manufactured and installed the three new venues at Sculpture by the Lakes.
Nathalie Davis, founder of Pods and Pavilions, said: “Working with the team at Sculpture by the Lakes has been an absolute pleasure. Our pods provide unique spaces for gatherings and events and are only elevated by the gorgeous backdrop of Pallington Lakes.
“As an immersive and usable show garden, guests at Sculpture by the Lakes can visit our series of pods for a demonstration of their functionality and get in touch with us to enquire about purchasing one for their own home.”
