Southampton office opens for leading regional law firm
Top regional law firm, Steele Raymond, has set its sights firmly on sustained growth and a focus on the future, as it opens a new office in Ocean Village, Southampton on 1st of April 2025.
Currently operating with a 110-strong team of partners and people based in Bournemouth, Steele Raymond has secured the top floor of the newly refurbished Arcadia House in Ocean Village.
The 1,256 sq. ft office at Arcadia House will offer an ideal blend of functionality and style. The office will accommodate 12 desks, 2 meeting rooms, breakout areas, as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
Situated in the heart of Ocean Village Marina, the office boasts stunning marina views and offers direct access to a vibrant selection of shops, restaurants, and bars along the promenade. Clients and employees alike will benefit from the lively business community already thriving in the area, creating ample networking and growth opportunities.
The office has been thoughtfully designed with sustainability and employee wellbeing in mind. Almost everything from the kitchen crockery to the dustpan and brush is plant based, sustainably manufactured, or from recycled materials – reflecting the firm’s commitment to reducing environmental impact while enhancing employee comfort.
The latest technologies have also been integrated to support modern business needs. A state-of-the-art Jabra PanaCast 50 video conferencing system ensures seamless communication, while the computer monitors have been certified by TÜV for 4-star eye comfort, helping to reduce eye strain and improve overall workplace comfort.
Managing Partner, Jenny Rogerson, commented: “Southampton is an exciting business opportunity for us, as we continue to expand our client base across the south of England.”
“Our teams of expert lawyers, although based in Bournemouth, are often working with clients much further afield than Dorset and we acknowledge the opportunity that having a Southampton office represents, to support our clients and the wider business community.
“Many of our team already live within the Southampton area and have spent decades building their contacts in the region, for us, it’s the next natural step.”
Ranked a ‘top-tier’ firm by the independent guide to the legal profession, The Legal 500, Steele Raymond has been a leading commercial law firm in Bournemouth for over 40 years, with offices at Richmond Point and Granville Chambers, both located on Richmond Hill in the town centre.
Over the last five years, the full-service firm has almost doubled in size, increasing the partnership to 25 and developing niche, highly specialist teams within Residential Development, Property Litigation and Estate Planning and Tax, alongside expanding its already well-regarded commercial and private client teams.
The expansion into Southampton marks a milestone in the firm’s history and signals a clear step towards future growth.
Jenny continued: “2025 is set to be an exciting year for the firm, with the opening of the Southampton office and continued growth of the team in Bournemouth. The sustained growth in recent years is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the firm’s partners and people in supporting their clients.
“Many of our clients have been with us for years and value the experience and expertise that Steele Raymond offers, whether that is for corporate, litigation, property, or private client advice. We are immensely proud to have such long-standing relationships in the regional business community.”
To mark the occasion, Steele Raymond will be holding a variety of events over the spring and summer to celebrate the opening of the new office and strengthen connections with clients, partners, and the wider business community.
