Star Tech, a servicing and repairs garage based in Poole, have adopted the Trust My Garage Car Repair Plan to help customers budget for servicing and unexpected repair costs.
The garage, which was established in 2006, specialises in Mercedes Benz, Mini, BMW and Smart, covering all aspects of servicing and repairs. A handful of the repairs taken on by Star Tech require many hours of work and new parts, which becomes expensive for the customer.
These expensive large repairs encouraged Star Tech to look for a solution to help their customers afford the unexpected cost. After exploring a number of financing and budgeting schemes, the garage decided to adopt the Car Repair Plan from Trust My Garage.
The Car Repair Plan is a savings plan which enables car owners to save money on a regular basis to ensure that there are enough funds to pay for any work needed on a car, from regular servicing to infrequent major repair work.
People who opt for the plan add a set amount of money into their Car Repair Plan account. These payments can be altered or stopped at any point. If any work is needed on a car, the owner can use funds from the account to pay for the work with no hidden charges or extra cost.
Matt Peacock, Managing Director of Star Tech, said:
“Unfortunately, cars can breakdown and sometimes require massive amounts of work leaving the owners out of pocket. With this in mind, we decided to explore some options to help our customers afford major repairs. The choice to adopt the Car Repair Plan was made as it seemed a simple and easy-to-use system that would provide real benefit for our customers.”
The Car Repair Plan is provided by the Independent Garage Association and can be used at any participating Trust My Garage member. To find out more information on how it works, visit: https://www.trustmygarage.co.uk/car-repair-plan
