Strategic Solutions Financial Services is proud to announce that Dave Stone has achieved Chartered status and been awarded Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society — a significant milestone marking over four decades of dedication to the profession.
Dave began his career in financial services in 1984, working for Gresham Life before qualifying as an Independent Financial Adviser in 1992. In 2013, he moved into Lifestyle Financial Planning, a transition he describes as “game-changing,” allowing him to focus on helping clients gain clarity and confidence over their financial futures.
Joining SSFS in 2022, Dave was drawn to the firm’s strong culture of support, learning, and professional excellence. Despite already holding Chartered Insurance Practitioner status for 25 years, Dave embraced the challenge of achieving Chartered status in Financial Planning — a process that involved extensive retraining and adapting to new qualification pathways.
Speaking about the achievement, Dave said,
“Transitioning from insurance to financial planning qualifications was not straightforward, but the support at SSFS made all the difference. Achieving this goal has been incredibly fulfilling, and it’s renewed my passion for learning.”
Dave credits additional training through NextGen Planners for helping him pass key examinations, including his Advanced Planning paper. Looking ahead, he is now working towards SOLLA accreditation to better assist clients in later life planning.
