As the nation celebrates 75 years of the NHS this week, University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity is working alongside its frontline staff to thank them for their relentless hard work and commitment to caring for people across Dorset.
University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity is marking this important milestone by inviting the public to give their local hospitals a high 5 by donating £5 to say thank you to those they have depended on at their most unwell times.
With every donation and the support of the local community, our hospitals can continue to go above and beyond for its patients and continue to invest in improving its services.
Every penny raised also helps to support the wellbeing and development of staff for generations to come. A little goes a long way – for example, £5 could contribute to the refurbishment of a ward or an activity for patients living with dementia for example.
Senior Charity Manager, Karen Smith said: “We wanted to give people the opportunity to join in the celebration and support their local hospitals in a way where they can also make a difference. Let’s support our NHS staff who we couldn’t be without.”
