Take the Hassle Out of Christmas Tree Disposal with Charity Tree-Cycling Scheme
Posted on: 20/12/2016

Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, is running its annual Christmas tree-cycling scheme during the weekend of 7 and 8 January, taking away the hassle of disposing it yourself.
The local charity will collect your Christmas tree for a small donation of £5, which will help raise funds to further support children and adults living with disabilities across the county.
Last year the tree-cycling raised over £1,300 by collecting 250 trees. Diverse Abilities is hoping to collect even more trees this year from across Dorset.
Diverse Abilities is also looking for volunteers with and without vans to help collect trees during the January weekend.
Fiona Hansford, corporate and community manager at Diverse Abilities, said:“Why not fight the post-Christmas blues with some community spirit and be a part of something great. We hope many of the local people get involved and help raise funds for us while recycling as many Christmas trees as we can.
“A massive thank you goes to Maidmans, Timber Tree Care, Barclays, Boundary Fencing Bournemouth, Swinton Insurance, Nationwide, Pitmans Removals for signing up to volunteer their time to support Diverse Abilities’ with this fantastic tree-recycle scheme.”
Deadline for booking tree collections is midnight on Wednesday 4 January. For information to recycle your Christmas treeclick here.
