The Dorset community is gearing up for a day of golf, networking, and lifesaving support as the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) Christchurch and Bournemouth Branch hosts the RNLI Charity Golf Day 2023. Taking place on Thursday, 18th May, at the picturesque Christchurch Golf Club, this event aims to raise funds for the ongoing operations of the RNLI while providing local businesses with a fantastic networking opportunity.
This year’s Charity Golf Day is supported by Aspirin Business Solutions Ltd, who has donated the event’s landing page. Heath Waring, a Director and the ‘Team Weaver’ at Aspirin Business Solutions, shared the story behind their partnership with the RNLI:
“Our collaboration with the RNLI began during a recent Nature Walk and Talk networking event hosted by the Dorset Chamber at Moors Valley Country Park. I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with David from the RNLI, who mentioned their need for assistance in spreading awareness of the Charity Golf Day due to in-house limitations. We saw this as a perfect opportunity to support the RNLI by creating a landing page to help them effectively promote the event and raise funds. We are delighted to support the RNLI Charity Golf Day, as it not only brings local businesses together for networking, but also contributes to the lifesaving mission of the RNLI. We wholeheartedly encourage everyone that has an interest in golf to join in for a memorable day on the greens, as we work together to make a real difference in our community.”
The RNLI is an essential organization that saves lives at sea, funded entirely by public donations. It operates the iconic orange lifeboats and provides lifeguard services at 18 stunning beaches across the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole area from Highcliffe to Swanage during peak season. Funds raised during the Charity Golf Day will directly support the training of these dedicated lifeguards, ensuring the safety of beachgoers.
Participants in the RNLI Charity Golf Day can expect a day filled with exciting golfing activities, including a Shotgun Start and Texas Scramble format, Longest Drive, Nearest the Pin in One, and Beat the Pro challenges. Moreover, attendees will have the opportunity to win huge prizes, such as a £10,000 prize for a Hole-in-One on the 18th Hole (excluding professionals), a stay and guided tour of RNLI College, a Dorset Wine School Tasting Voucher, a trip with Bournemouth Boating and Drinks at the Beach House, a bottle of whiskey from Aspire Life Sports, and more.
Registrations for the event are now open at the newly created landing page at www.RNLI-GOLF.co.uk, with a team of four players costing just £360. All proceeds will directly fund the RNLI’s vital services.
Optional extras such as Tee Sponsorship, Longest Drive Prize Entry, Nearest the Pin in One Entry, Mulligans, and Beat the Pro are also available for those interested in making an even more significant impact. Participants are encouraged to bring a bottle to contribute to the ‘Barrow of Booze’ auction and donate small prizes and raffle items.
The RNLI is also seeking a headline sponsor for this prestigious event. If you’re interested in making a substantial impact and aligning your brand with the RNLI’s lifesaving mission, check out the event landing page for details.
