The Colleges’ Partnership staff begin Learning and Skills Teacher L5 apprenticeship

Just prior to the festive break, several members of The Colleges' Partnership staff began their Learning and Skills Teacher Level 5 apprenticeship. A level 5 apprenticeship is equivalent to that of a foundation degree, or a Higher National Diploma. The staff members consist of a combination of Apprenticeship Co-Ordinators and Functional Skills Tutors, with the apprenticeship providing them with the necessary tools and skillsets to significantly enhance their ability to develop learners.

Sally Wiltshere, an Apprenticeship Co-Ordinator who has started the course, expressed her excitement at the opportunity and the subsequent benefits it will provide both her personally and the learners she works with.

"Completing the Level 5 LST will improve my professional confidence and status. Achieving such a high standard qualification will ensure apprentices I work with in the future are in the best hands, and I'll be able to utilise the knowledge, skills and behaviours I learn throughout this apprenticeship to help develop learners in the future."

The course is being led by TCP's Professional Qualifications Lead Marcella Goodge, and overseen by Business Development Manager Dean Green, who is delighted the programme is underway.

"We are so fortunate to have such skilled and dedicated staff, so being able to provide them with an opportunity to develop and upskill their talents further is wonderful. Marcella has a 100% Distinction achievement rate at the moment, and I am confident we'll be able to maintain that outstanding record with our talented staff."

The very best of luck to this incredible cohort.
