Poole Harbour Commissioners are pleased to welcome the inaugural DFDS sailing from the Port of Poole to Jersey, which departed earlier today, 17 April 2025. This marks a significant milestone in continued connectivity between Poole and the Channel Islands.
Operated by the high-speed craft Levante Jet, the new route will offer a fast and comfortable service for passengers.
Captain Brian Murphy, CEO of Poole Harbour Commissioners, said:
“We are pleased to see the DFDS first high speed sailing to Jersey which departed from the Port of Poole today. This important milestone reflects both our capacity to deliver excellent levels of service and our commitment to support high-quality ferry services for the benefit of passengers and local supply chains.”
The new service is part of the DFDS long-term contract with the Government of Jersey to operate a high speed service from Poole to Jersey with an onward connection to France.

“We are very excited to be in Poole and start our route to Jersey. A lot of hard work from many colleagues and stakeholders has gone into make this happen and it’s wonderful to welcome passengers in Poole as of today.
