One of the UK’s top legal trainers is joining the Poole office of PKF Francis Clark as a Director.
Janet Taylor’s appointment follows the announcement of a joint venture between the accountancy firm and Taylor Mowbray, a leading supplier of consultancy and training services to law firms.
PKF Francis Clark’s legal team, led by Partner Andrew Allen, already advises more than 100 law firms across the UK, from top 100 firms to sole practitioners.
The joint venture allows PKF Francis Clark to offer a significant number of additional services to the legal sector nationally while Taylor Mowbray clients will benefit from extra support and resources.
Janet is widely regarded as one of the finest trainers on the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) accounts rules.
She has trained and provided consultancy support to both fee earners and accounts staff in law firms while also training reporting accountants who check and report on their law firm clients’ compliance with the rules.
Janet has also worked in the technical department of a top 20 accounting firm and has an excellent technical knowledge of UK accounting rules.
She is a currently the Subject Matter Expert for the Solicitors Interest Group of the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) and was co-author, together with Robert Mowbray, of A Practical Guide for COFAs and Finance Professionals.
