Tops Bournemouth Celebrates 25 Years of Nurturing Young Minds with New Garden Reopening
Tops Bournemouth, part of the award-winning Tops Day Nurseries group, proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary yesterday with a special event marking both the milestone and the grand reopening of its newly refurbished garden.
The celebration was attended by Cheryl Hadland, Founder and Chair of Tops Day Nurseries, alongside Sam King, CEO of Tops, who officially reopened the garden after renovations. The event was also joined by Charlotte Percival, People Director, Jo Penn, Director of Facilities, and Emma Hollyoake, Room Manager at Tops Bournemouth, all long-standing members of staff who have played a key role in the nursery’s success over the years.
Since opening in 1999, Tops Bournemouth has been committed to providing high-quality early education and care, supporting families, and inspiring a love of learning in young children. A defining moment in its history came during COVID-19, when the nursery provided essential childcare for key workers, ensuring frontline staff had the support they needed during challenging times.
Over the past 25 years, the nursery has continued to grow, evolve, and innovate, with a strong focus on sustainability, child-led learning, and creating a nurturing environment for children.
The garden renovations, unveiled during the event, reflect the nursery’s commitment to providing children with enriching outdoor experiences, encouraging exploration, creativity, and a connection with nature.
Speaking at the event, Stacey Nash, Senior Nursery Manager: “It’s incredible to see how far Tops Bournemouth has come over the last 25 years. We are proud of the impact we’ve had on so many children’s lives and grateful for the dedication of our amazing staff. The newly revamped gardens will offer even more opportunities for outdoor learning and play, which is such an important part of early childhood development.”
