Tops Day Nurseries and Aspire Training Team working with Wessex Community Bank to Help Employees Save!

Tops Day Nurseries and Aspire Training Team are pleased to announce their collaboration with Wessex Community Bank to introduce a new workplace savings scheme for their employees. This initiative aims to promote financial well-being and empower staff members to save effortlessly directly from their paychecks.

Chris Marodeen, representative of Wessex Community Bank, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re really excited to have Tops Day Nurseries and Aspire Training Team on board with our workplace scheme. Employees can now save direct from their pay, making saving easy, and intuitive and it’s a proven way to help you build financial well-being across organisations. Tops and Aspire understands the benefits this scheme provides to their employees, with our research showing payroll schemes considerably improve savings attitudes and financial resilience.”

Through this collaboration, Tops Day Nurseries and Aspire Training Team demonstrate their commitment to supporting the financial wellness of their workforce. By offering employees the opportunity to save directly from their salaries, the organisations aim to foster a culture of financial responsibility and empowerment among their staff members.

Zoe Short, People Manager said: “At Tops and Aspire we know that home is just as important at work, and we’re committed to supporting our partners and colleagues with all aspects of their wellbeing. Financial wellbeing plays a part in overall wellbeing and is essential for everyone’s mental, physical, and emotional health. Recent challenges such as COVID-19 and the rising cost of living has impacted households across the world, causing risks to financial wellbeing. We already offer colleagues support through interest free pay day subs and company loans, our cycle to work scheme, a colleague trust, and referrals to free independent services for financial advice and support, however we felt now was the time to review what we offer and what else we might be able to do to support in this area.

We’ve partnered with Wessex Community Bank to offer our colleagues and partners easy access to savings accounts, ISAs, and low-interest personal loans, with repayments conveniently deducted from wages. This promotes good saving habits and enhances long-term financial security.

As well as supporting financial wellbeing and offering these great financial services Wessex Community Bank also aligns with our company ethos being an ethical not for profit member owned bank, as well as supporting and growing local communities through their foundation.

The response has been positive, with 24 accounts opened, especially the popular Christmas Club savings account. Personally, I’ve joined this scheme to better manage my finances for the holiday season. I look forward to watching the scheme progress and hearing more feedback from our colleagues and partners who have used the scheme.”

The introduction of the workplace savings scheme underscores Tops Day Nurseries and Aspire Training Team’s proactive approach to employee welfare and highlights their ongoing efforts to enhance the overall employee experience.
