Tops Wimborne Celebrates Earth Day with a Commitment to Environmental Education and Action

An award-winning day nursery and preschool, Tops Day Nurseries Wimborne, located on Leigh Road, celebrated Earth Day on April 22nd, 2023, by engaging children in activities to promote environmental education and conservation. The celebration included the creation of an “Earth Mobile” and a visit to a local pond to discuss how to protect our world and its inhabitants.

The “Earth Mobile” is a creative project that involved children creating a mobile that showcased different aspects of the world and ways we can protect it through recycling and reusing things we see day to day. This project helped children understand the importance of the earth and its resources and how to take care of them.

The visit to the local pond was an opportunity for children to learn about the importance of water and how to protect the wildlife that lives in and around the pond. The children were guided by knowledgeable practitioners who discussed the environmental challenges that we face today and how we can work together to protect our planet.

Hannah Stanyon, Deputy Manager at Tops Wimborne said: “We are thrilled to celebrate Earth Day with our children and to help them learn about the importance of protecting our environment. At Tops Wimborne, we believe that environmental education is a critical part of our curriculum, and we are committed to providing our children with the tools and knowledge they need to make a difference in the world.”

Tops Wimborne is dedicated to providing quality childcare services that focus on the development and education of children. The Earth Day celebration is just one of the many ways that Tops Wimborne is committed to creating a better future for our children.
