This is great news for Bournemouth with the opportunity to bring many new visitors to the area. This is a real opportunity for retail, tourism and hospitality businesses in the town and we are delighted to be a part of this.
Event organiser, Suzy Wheeler comments “This event is going to be amazing. The international spotlight will be on Bournemouth thanks to the approval from Memphis to officially represent Elvis Presley’s legacy. Bringing hundreds of people into the area, it is crucial for businesses to help and support the first year. High calibre events like this will impact on the development of the high street. We need companies and organisations to engage in events like this, especially in the early stages to set the grounding for years to come”.
The event has been programmed so guests have time to visit retailers, enjoy lunch and dinner in local eateries and use travel companies to transport them to and from their accommodation.
The event team are keen to meet with any business interested in supporting the championships.
