Event Overview

The Certificate in Counselling course is run over 6 weekends from January to June and is an entry level course for those wishing to explore the field of counselling.

What will I learn?

It is designed to teach you the basic elements of counselling through humanistic approaches and therapeutic models that provide preliminary training in the use of counselling skills. It will leave you with a deeper understanding of yourself, the healing aspects of relationships and how to support vulnerable others whilst reflecting on personal growth and experience of life. Experiential exercises and skills work are integrated throughout the course, which is delivered face to face.

This is suitable for anyone wishing to explore how humans tick. If you’re looking to enhance your career as a helping professional, this course can also benefit and grow your skill set for working with people. It is also the first step in becoming a counsellor.
