Courageous Conversations for Supporting Others

Training Details

Supporting people’s mental health is a critical and growing challenge – especially following the pandemic and lockdowns.

Most people will be affected by mental health problems, either personally or through family and friends at some point during their lives. There are many positive reasons for supporting yours and your colleagues, friends, or family’s mental health.

What will I learn?

Awareness of mental health is increasing, but we still face a world where people with mental health problems feel unable to speak up about it. There are many reasons someone may be reluctant to speak about this, including:

Stigma around mental health
Cultural barriers
Lack of confidence
Feeling like there is no-one to talk to
Fearing the other person’s response
Worrying it might have a negative impact on their employment

Who is the training suitable for?

This online course is for anyone that wants to make courageous conversations about mental health part of their everyday.

This training provides a comprehensive action plan that can be used to explore an individual’s mental health and offer support and signposting to those who may be experiencing poor mental health safely, supportively, and effectively.
