The changing Workplace and Employment landscape

Hosted By: Aspire Jobs Ltd

Event Details

At a recent international investment summit in London, Prime Minister Keir Starmer told his audience that, as employers, they should not be worried about the new Employment Rights Bill, describing it as “pro-growth”; growth is of course one of the new government’s priorities. ViewHR, a leading HR Consultancy and Employment Law specialist in the South, will examine the new bill and the challenges it presents to SMEs in our region at a forthcoming seminar in Southampton on the 12th November.
The changing Workplace and Employment landscape seminar will reflect on how legislative changes will affect all employers, how they can be managed correctly and how they can benefit progressive employers. Heidi Roper, a director at ViewHR and employment law specialist, said, “The new Employment Rights Bill will bring significant changes for all organisations that employ staff; our job is to support SMEs as they evolve their HR policies to meet the challenge. We are delighted to offer this seminar, alongside our partner Aspire Jobs, for senior HR professionasl in the southern region”.
One aspect of the changing employment landscape that will be on the agenda on November 12th, will be what has been termed new “sexual harassment” legislation. This subject matter is of course broadly understood by employers but in reality the new Worker Protection Act (as it is correctly called) is significant and poses a challenge for all employers. Paul Burton, a ViewHR employment lawyer, will examine this area in detail.
Helen Stacey, MD of Aspire Jobs, said, “We see this seminar as an excellent opportunity for HR professionals in our region to be presented with a considered analysis of the changing legislation and to discuss with fellow professionals how to enact change in both recruitment and retention of employees. We are pleased to be working with ViewHR in presenting the seminar”.
“The changing Workplace and Employment landscape” event will take place on 12th November at Central Hall Southampton from 9.30am to 11.00am. The event is open to all  HR professionals in the region via the link below, or by contacting ViewHR via their website, www.viewhr.co.uk
