Trethowans is pleased to announce that Partner and leading family law specialist Grant Cameron has been shortlisted for Legal Personality of the Year at the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2026.
The award recognises individuals who have made an exceptional and lasting impact on the legal profession. Grant’s shortlisting reflects his influential role as National Chair of Resolution from May 2023 to May 2025, where he helped shape national debate on early legal advice, non-court dispute resolution and reform of the family justice system.
During his tenure, Grant was widely recognised for championing a more constructive, compassionate and child-focused approach to family law, and for strengthening the profession’s voice in policy discussions at a national level.
In his role as Partner in the family team at Trethowans, Grant advises on complex children matters, high‑value financial cases and the full breadth of family law. With more than 30 years’ experience, he is regarded as one of the region’s most trusted and respected practitioners.
Emma Wilders-Pratt, Partner and Head of the Family Team at Trethowans, said:
“Grant’s shortlisting is incredibly well deserved. His leadership at a national level has had a genuine impact on the direction of family law in this country, but what really sets him apart is that he brings the same compassion, clarity and commitment to every client he works with. We are immensely proud to have him as part of the Trethowans team.”
Commenting on the shortlisting, Grant said:
“I’m honoured to be recognised in this way. This nomination really reflects the collective work of Resolution and the many dedicated professionals across the country who are striving to make the family justice system kinder, clearer and more accessible for the families who rely on it.”
