Vanguard Security Gears Up for 9,725km Charity Cycle Challenge in Aid of The Boo Charity

Vanguard Security is trading patrol routes for pedals this summer as the team embarks on an ambitious static bike challenge to raise funds for The Boo Charity, an organisation dedicated to empowering underprivileged children in Kenya.

Over the coming months, Vanguard Security staff will collectively cycle 9,725 kilometers, the approximate distance from Bournemouth to Kenya, all from a static bike setup at various public events. The challenge kicks off in high gear at the Christchurch Food Festival, taking place on May 24th to 26th.

“This goes beyond a fitness challenge,” said the General Manager of Vanguard Security. “It’s a chance for us to challenge ourselves while contributing to something truly meaningful, helping children who deserve better opportunities and brighter futures. The Boo Charity does outstanding work in Kenya, and we’re honoured to support them. I’m also incredibly fortunate to be visiting the schools and children they support later this year, and I’m really looking forward to seeing firsthand the impact they’re making.”

The Boo Charity focuses on providing education and essential resources to children living in disadvantaged communities throughout Kenya. Funds raised from Vanguard’s cycling campaign will go directly toward these life-changing programs.

Festival-goers at Christchurch are encouraged to stop by the Vanguard Security stand to show support, cheer on the riders, and learn more about the cause. Donations can also be made online for those unable to attend in person.

As summer unfolds, the team will continue to clock kilometers at events across the country, inching closer to their 9,725km goal, and to making a lasting impact.
