WDA welcomes Rebecca Smith to the team. Rebecca has recently graduated with a Part 1 Architecture degree from the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) where she won 2 of 3 awards she was nominated for.
Rebecca won the Nicholas Durbridge Award for collaboration and the Dean’s Prize for the faculty of Art Design and Architecture. Dean’s Prizes are awarded to students who demonstrate: creativity, experimentation, understanding of environmental issues, studentship, intellectual rigour, research skills, collaborative endeavour.
Alongside her Architecture studies, Rebecca collaborated with the BA(hons) Modelmaking course engaging in the creation of replica historic models by Team 4 for the Norman Foster Foundation in Madrid. She was invited to return a few months later for the official opening.
To add to Rebecca’s skill set she has completed short courses in Architectural Photography, Graphic Design and Model Making. She took part in ‘Studio in the Woods’ a three day workshop that explores the testing of ideas through making with timber alongside some renowned Architects.
Rebecca will be an asset to the company, bringing plenty of enthusiasm as well as skills across all disciplines. We wish her every success.
