In a remarkable show of community spirit and collaboration, Woodstock Legal Services, together with Luxe Florae, SuStudio and other businesses, co-hosted a hugely successful Halloween trick-or-treat event on 31st October 2024 on Haven Road, drawing hundreds of visitors for an evening of family fun and local camaraderie.
The event brought Poole residents and those from further afield, together in the heart of their community, with businesses along Haven Road showing exceptional enthusiasm and involvement.
Organisers worked hard to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Halloween activities were hosted indoors within participating businesses along Haven Road, with volunteers in high-visibility jackets stationed along the street for added safety.
The community’s response was overwhelmingly positive, with hundreds of families, friends, and children dressed up and joining in the fun. Social media, posters along the street, and, most notably, word of mouth helped spread the word, making it one of Poole’s most memorable Halloween events.
A key highlight of the event was the enthusiastic support from local businesses along Haven Road. To name a few – The Haven Medical, Dental on the Banks, Elegant Clinic, Luxury Care Group, Day Lewis Pharmacy, Savills, Key Drummond Estate Agents, Mazda, Renova Clinic, Canvas Art Gallery, Dana Quinlan Salon, Kiteleys Solicitors, Johnson Dry Cleaner, Grade 92, Ellis Jones Solicitors, Oxfords Bakery, Blue Hair Dressing, and Moxey & Web – came together to make the event a true community effort, with some hosting activities and others lending their support and resources.
Neil Duncan-Jones, Labour MP for Poole, attended the event and spoke with Kirsty Jocham from Woodstock Legal Services about the importance of community-led initiatives, commenting, “Events like this show the strength and unity of our community. I was delighted to see so many families enjoying Halloween and how many local businesses were willing to get involved. I fully support the event organisers and their commitment to making Haven Road a vibrant and welcoming place for everyone.”
Woodstock Legal Services extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and supported the event. This Halloween celebration highlights the unique spirit of Poole, demonstrating the community’s ability to come together and create memorable experiences.
With plans already underway for next year, Woodstock Legal Services and its partners are committed to bringing the community together for future Halloween celebrations.
