World’s biggest Monster Trucks set to wow at The Dorset County Show

The world’s biggest monster truck will be gate-crushing its way into the Dorset County Show on 2nd and 3rd September 2023.

Big Pete is the world’s only real monster truck. At 16ft tall and 12ft wide, weighing an impressive 7.5 tonnes, it’s able to crush anything in its path including entire cars. And wait until you see this monster jump 15 feet in the air!

This mechanical giant will be joined by his partner in crushing crime – The Grim Reaper. A little lighter at 4.5 tonnes but still a heavyweight show-off, The Grim Reaper is a modern-styled Monster Truck, even with a hint of showbiz sparkle in its bodywork.

Revving their engines, squashing cars, performing tricks and doing some damage in the Main Ring,  these mechanical monsters of mayhem need no introduction. You will hear them before you see them!

Nicki Ralph, Chair of the Show, which is organised by Dorchester Agricultural Society, said “We cannot wait to welcome Big Pete and The Grim Reaper to the County Show. This exciting, adrenaline-filled display will certainly leave a lasting impression on all our visitors, no matter their age”.

Alongside Monster Trucks crushing cars, The Dorset County Show has announced an exciting refresh to its annual event. This includes a new layout to explore and a host of new attractions including Dorset Axemen where you can see thrilling axe-cutting battles in action as teams race against the clock.

The Show is also expanding promotion of Great British Food & Drink with a special focus on Dorset Produce via a new Food & Drink Area.

In recent years, local crafts have become more prominent with many people taking up new hobbies and the Show hopes to showcase these individuals with the introduction of new trading opportunities.

James Cox, Organiser of the Show said “The Show, like us all has gone through a lot in recent years and therefore now is the right time to review ideas and plans for the future. This year, our adaptions truly ensure we showcase Agriculture, Countryside, Rural Life and the incredible Food, Drink and Crafts produced within it.

The County Show will put the consumer in contact with the producer while celebrating everything rural Dorset has to offer”.

The Dorset County Show takes place on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd September 2023. Adult tickets are on sale now until 1st June for just £17, and Children go FREE! The Tickets are lower than last year up until the Show weekend itself.
