If you’re a local business, Wave 105 Cash for Kids needs your help this Christmas
Posted on: 17/11/2017

The largest toy appeal in the UK, Mission Christmas, needs your help. Wave 105’s charity Cash for Kids is urging business owners from across the south to register on its website, to become a Mission Christmas drop-off point, this November.
Mission Christmas collects and distributes new presents to children and families from the south, living in poverty. Wave 105 Cash for Kids is in need of businesses, organisations and schools to register as a location where Mission Christmas supporters can take donated presents, this Christmas.
Samantha Tanner, Cash for Kids charity manager, said: “There are thousands of children living in poverty right on our doorsteps. Throughout November and December people we will be collecting new and unwrapped presents so that these children will have a present to open on Christmas morning.
“Mission Christmas is a huge operation that spans the central south coast. We are in desperate need of locations where supporters can take donated presents and where they can be stored until transported to the Mission Christmas headquarters in December, for distribution.”
Foresters Financial is a longstanding supporter of Mission Christmas. Anna Wallace, Foresters Financial member coordinator, said: “Foresters Financial is proud to support Cash for Kids with the Christmas appeal. We believe in enriching lives and building strong communities and that’s why we invest money and volunteer time in ways we can truly make a difference”.
Shorefield Holidays is one of the main sponsors of Mission Christmas, this year. Simon Pitman, Shorefield Holidays Ltd group head of marketing, said: “Cash for Kids is a very important local charity whom we’ve been proud to work with in the past, Mission Christmas’s simple philosophy of seeking to ensure every child has at least one present to open on Christmas Day is a wonderful aim. We are a family-run business and this issue is close to our hearts, so we jumped at the opportunity to support Mission Christmas.”
If you are a business, organisation or school, that would like to register to become a drop-off point, please visit: www.Wave105.com/mission.
