JD opens new store at the Dolphin Shopping Centre

The Dolphin Shopping Centre’s newest retailer, JD, has opened its doors to customers.

JD is the UK’s leading trainer and sports fashion retailer and has taken a 6,120 sq. ft. unit in the shopping centre.

John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, said: “Further to the announcement that H&M will be opening in the New Year, it’s an exciting time for retailers to join the line-up. We’ve received great feedback from customers shopping in JD already – it’s especially popular with our younger shoppers.”

Legal & General recently reached an agreement with the Borough of Poole in June to restructure the existing headlease arrangements into a single, longer lease unlocking a £26 million programme of investment. The improvement programme will focus on an internal mall refresh, improvements to the open-air Falkland Square and Kingland Crescent – including work to the public realm and eye-catching shop facades, in addition to a redevelopment of the former Argos building to create a new nine-screen Empire cinema with four restaurants.

John Grinnell continued: “Attracting top brands to the centre is really important to secure its position as a significant attraction on the south coast for tourists and residents alike. Combined with the improvement works, we’re determined to significantly improve the facilities to appeal to all our customers.”
