Future Leaders was born from the desire of Forvis Mazars to develop a professional business network to support the development of their younger employees. They discussed with Dorset Chamber and together, Future Leaders was formed.
Future Leaders is a series of events supporting the personal and professional development of young professionals aged 18 – 30. Meeting on a bi-monthly basis, these events continue to provide a valuable networking opportunity as well as a focus on a range of themes, including:
As a Chamber, we’re keen to do more to support our future business leaders, our next generation, in their personal and career development. Future Leaders has been set up to help our next generation of leaders come together to network, learn from each other, and develop their skills as they look forwards in their career.

Toni Taylor | Chair
Toni is managing director of recruitment specialists, Tru Talent, and also sits on the Dorset Chamber Board to represent Future Leaders and share issues raised by young professionals.
She has highlighted the scope Future Leaders has to impact the community, educate businesses on the changing desires and needs from young professionals, and the opportunity to learn from each other as well as hearing from inspiring speakers at events.

Jack Ormesher | Vice-Chair
Joint vice-chair Jack Ormesher is a trainee solicitor at Trethowans, whose personal focus is to drive initiatives within Future Leaders, and ultimately the local area, to help combat climate change and biodiversity loss.
He continues to shed light on the many advantages, whether monetary, social, or otherwise, of operating a business sustainably.

David Massieu-King | Vice-Chair
Fellow joint vice-chair David Massieu-King is a business development manager at Bournemouth and Poole College and is a keen advocate for helping young people advance in their careers.
Having worked in the education industry for several years, David is familiar with the triumphs and struggles that occur in early career progression and is excited to see the success from members of Future Leaders.

Olivia Parkinson
Olivia is a dispute resolution solicitor at Frettens Solicitors dealing with all aspects of civil and commercial litigation. Being a Bournemouth University graduate herself, Olivia works closely with the University, including Frettens’ placement students, providing talks and advice to current students about their future careers and life as a solicitor.
Olivia is keen to work with other local future leaders across various disciplines to gain a valuable insight into other young professionals’ journeys towards success.

Kat Freeman
Kat Freeman serves as the Events Coordinator at Dorset Chamber, where she focuses on organising events for the Future Leaders initiative. She handles venue booking, speaker arrangements, and event logistics, contributing to the smooth execution of each event.
Kat’s role plays a key part in fostering connections and professional, and personal development within the Dorset business community.
