Supporting the personal and professional development of our future leaders

Future Leaders is sponsored by Mazars and Frettens

Future Leaders was born from the desire of Mazars to develop a professional business network to support the development of their younger employees. They discussed with Dorset Chamber and together, Future Leaders was formed.

Future Leaders is a series of events supporting the personal and professional development of young professionals aged 18 – 30. Meeting on a bi-monthly basis, these events continue to provide a valuable networking opportunity as well as a focus on a range of themes, including:

  • Effective networking
  • ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)
  • Financial Planning
  • Public speaking
  • Interview skills
  • Building confidence

As a Chamber, we’re keen to do more to support our future business leaders, our next generation, in their personal and career development. Future Leaders has been set up to help our next generation of leaders come together to network, learn from each other, and develop their skills as they look forwards in their career.

Our ongoing ambition is to be a modern, relevant and inclusive chamber – that is very much in touch and engaged with our next generation. Key areas of discussion that were highlighted at Future Leader events included:

  • Networking skills
  • Hearing from inspiring business leaders
  • Development of soft and interpersonal skills
  • The opportunity to discuss key issues such as sustainability within business
