There’s Only Three Weeks Left to Find Santa’s Elves!

Using the new ‘Go Bournemouth Coast’ augmented reality app, locals and visitors to the area have just a few weeks left to find Santa’s 12 virtual elves

With one festive elf only available from Christmas Eve, Bournemouth’s coastal businesses are urging people to capture selfies with all Twelve Elves of Christmas before its too late. The exciting ‘Express your Inner Elfie’ Interactive Christmas Campaign runs until the 6th January 2018 and offers prizes to people who capture selfies with virtual elves hidden across Bournemouth.

Currently, twelve virtual elves are hiding out in a variety of local businesses. Using the state of the art ‘Go Bournemouth Coast’ augmented reality app, shoppers must take ‘elfie’s’ using the app before uploading them onto Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #TakeAnElfie. They will then be entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning a host of prizes for all ages.

A festive activity for families, participants can download the free Go Bournemouth Coast app on their smartphone or Android devices. They will then need to get exploring Bournemouth’s coastal businesses to find and unlock all twelve elves. However, the twelfth elf, Chrissy the Christmas Elf, will only be available from the morning of Christmas Eve.

Stefan Krause, Bournemouth Coastal BID Manager, said:

“Our virtual elves are still on the loose and time is running out to find them all before Christmas. With one week left until the big day, we would like to remind you that Chrissy the elf will only be available or Christmas Eve. So, get out and explore for your chance to win our festively themed prizes.’’

Prizes include:

  • Two family tickets to the Oceanarium
  • Family SKATE Voucher
  • A Happy Hopper space hopper from Flaming Nora’s in Southbourne
  • Family dinner for four at the Grill Shack & Tiki Bar
