Hall & Woodhouse Supports Wimborne Folk Festival

Hall & Woodhouse, the leading independent regional brewer with an established pub estate across the south, has pledged to support Wimborne Minster Folk Festival for the fifth year running by being a sponsor of the annual event.

Taking place from Friday, June 8 till Sunday, June 10 in Wimborne Dorset, the folk festival promises to provide a weekend of fun for all ages with a mix of traditional English folk music and dance. Hall & Woodhouse has provided venue support for the festival since 2001 and for the past five years has been a sponsor of the event. This year Hall & Woodhouse has donated £1,000 to the festival and will be hosting The Olive Branch Garden Stage at The Olive Branch pub located in the heart of the historic town.

The Olive Branch is Hall & Woodhouse’s flagship Wimborne pub, based in East Borough road and is one of the main music venues at the event. 15 bands will be taking to the stage over the weekend to entertain up to 30,000 festival goers. The pub will also be providing food and drink throughout the festival with a reduced menu available for guests to order from both inside and outside, as well as offering its selection of characterful and crafted Badger ales, available exclusively in the on trade to Hall and Woodhouse pubs.

On Saturday live music will be performed from 12.00-5.40pm and on Sunday from 12-5pm on The Olive Branch Garden Stage. Guests will be treated to free live performances from Jasmine Beth, Rowan Leslie and Broken Biscuits to name a few.

Anthony Woodhouse, Managing Director of Hall & Woodhouse, said: “We are really pleased to be supporting the Wimborne Minster Folk Festival for another year as the annual event showcases the best of British folk music and puts Wimborne on the map for hosting one of the largest gatherings of folk dance teams and musicians in the south.

“The team behind the festival work hard over the weekend to bring a range of entertainment to the town to be enjoyed by locals and visitors from all over the country. It is really important to us to support the Wimborne community with our sponsorship to allow the festival, which is now in its 38th year, to continue to thrive.”
