AFC Bournemouth Continue Official Partnership With AECC

AFC Bournemouth have announced AECC University College as their Official Player Performance Partner for the 2018/19 season.

The University College is a specialist higher education institution based in Parkwood Road, Bournemouth.

By offering health science expertise and clinical services, the University College assists the AFC Bournemouth medical team to keep the Premier League club’s’ stars ready for action.

The partnership will also see AECC University College attend corporate events and host matchday hospitality at Vitality stadium, as well as sponsoring the home and away kit of midfielder Dan Gosling, who plays in the spine of the team.

AFC Bournemouth commercial director Rob Mitchell said: “AECC University College is renowned for its reputation in clinical training within the health sector.

“As a specialist health science institution, their impact is growing at an incredible rate, and these developments are testament to them receiving university college status last year – a fantastic achievement.

“Over the time of the partnership, AECC University College interns have gained experience from the AFCB medical team and provided support to the first team, the development squad and youth team and continue to do so with state-of-the-art equipment and specialist facilities.

“AECC University College’s clinical tutor Angelo Battiston will continue as lead chiropractor.

“We are delighted AECC University College has signed up again to provide expertise to assist the football club help get players back to good health as quick as possible.”

AECC University College’s principal, Professor Haymo Thiel commented: “Both organisations are very much part of the fabric of Bournemouth, proudly carrying the Bournemouth brand worldwide.
