Coles Miller Solicitor Katie Owen Qualifies Six Months Early

Katie Owen has qualified as a residential property solicitor at Coles Miller – six months early thanks to her experience as a conveyancing paralegal.

She first joined Coles Miller in 2014, assisting conveyancing Partner Ruth Elkins as a paralegal at the firm’s Broadstone office. This reduced the time needed to qualify by half a year.

Katie worked on wills and probate and commercial property at the Poole office before returning to the Broadstone conveyancing team for the last six months of her training.

She enjoys residential conveyancing because “it’s helping people to achieve a positive step in their lives.”

Coles Miller Senior Partner Roger Leedham, Head of the Residential Conveyancing Department, said: “Katie has been a real success story.

“She joined us from another local firm where her opportunities for progression were limited. She more than proved herself with us and it was a pleasure to offer her a training contract.

“I am delighted that after four years Katie is now qualifying as a solicitor and we wish her a long and happy career in the law with Coles Miller.”
