International trade administrator Suzanne Bhatt is set to help more exporters succeed on the world stage with Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Suzanne has bolstered the Chamber’s expertise after passing her international trade exams to help businesses get goods to the global marketplace.
She is the fourth member of the chamber’s international trade department to gain the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) accredited Foundation Award in International Trade Procedures.
Her success comes as the Dorset Chambers steps up its support for established and new exporters as well as those thinking about entering new markets overseas.
Rob Booth, head of international trade services, said: “Congratulations to Suzanne on passing with flying colours.
“It means every single member of our team is now highly qualified and able to assist businesses with first class services on their export journey.
“We are seeing increased demand for our international trade services, especially as we approach Brexit, and have a number of new services launching to help new and established exporters.”
Suzanne’s qualification means the Dorset Chamber has four times as many accredited advisors as required by the BCC.
The Dorset Chamber assisted over 250 businesses export £165m worth of goods in the last financial year.
Suzanne said: “I’m delighted to gain this qualification and look forward to helping even more businesses export Dorset-made goods to every corner of the world.”
The Chamber’s international trade department helps members and non-members with all export requirements – including documentation, checks, customs compliance, payments, training and fast track accreditation.
It also offers operational support on a one-to-one basis for companies and is launching an Export Live! initiative with twice-monthly events for new exporters, businesses requiring a refresher and to help companies see the benefits of trading worldwide.
