Bournemouth Solicitors Steele Raymond Nominated For National Training Award

Top Tier law firm Steele Raymond is celebrating after being nominated for the Best Trainer – Medium Regional Firm.

The Bournemouth-based firm has been nominated at the national LawCareers.Net Training & Recruitment Awards 2018, an honour that is reserved for a select group of law firms from across the UK that excel in nurturing their trainee solicitors.

LawCareers.Net is widely considered as the leading resource for trainees and graduates who are looking to embark on a career in law.

The annual awards, which now enter their 15th year, recognise those firms that provide their trainee solicitors with a proactive start in the legal profession, by offering an effective recruitment process and supporting and nurturing their careers.

The winner will be announced at the national awards ceremony which takes place at the prestigious IET Savoy Place in London on 17 May 2018.

The finalists of the awards are nominated following a survey to existing trainee solicitors and newly qualified solicitors at the firm by way of anonymous feedback.

Steele Raymond’s Training Principal and Partner at the firm, Jennifer Rogerson said: “We are delighted at being nominated as Best Trainer in at the LawCareers.Net Training & Recruitment Awards. I’m thrilled that our hard work has been recognised and it really does showcase the commitment that Steele Raymond has for providing a solid foundation to the legal careers of our trainee solicitors.”

Alongside Steele Raymond the other nominees for the awards are Blaser Mills, EMW Law LLP, Foot Anstey LLP, Mundays LLP, Tees and last year’s winner Thomson Snell & Passmore LLP.

Steele Raymond has a very strong track record of nurturing talent with three of the firm’s partners, Chairman Tim Stone, Nick Davies and Craig Hardman all starting their careers as trainee solicitors at the firm. The firm is also recognised by the Lex 100 as one of the best firms to work for based on stress levels and inclusiveness.

Steele Raymond already has an impressive trainee solicitor programme, running multiple initiatives  throughout the year from providing careers talks to schools and colleges, attending careers fairs across the region and culminating in the firms ever-popular Trainee Assessment Day.

The Assessment Day at Steele Raymond has gone from strength to strength in recent years and gives the firm the opportunity to meet the region’s top law students from across the UK.

Jennifer continued: “Trainee solicitors are an incredibly valuable asset to any firm and each year we are lucky enough to see an impressive calibre of law students wishing to work for and develop their careers at Steele Raymond. Trainee solicitors are key to the growth of the firm and I’m delighted that we are quite rightly investing more and more resources in providing a leading trainee solicitor programme.”
